All products sold in VHQ certified supermarkets are considered acceptable by the Vaad Harabonim of Queens. This is not to be taken as an endorsement of the certification symbol appearing on each product.

Though the Vaad Harabonim of Queens endeavors to screen each and every product sold in our certified supermarkets for kashrus acceptability before it is placed on the shelf, human error can never be completely ruled out. If you question the acceptablity of a particular item, please contact the Vaad office at 718-520-9060 or info@queensvaad.org.

The public is advised to check for a valid kashrus certificate when visiting any establishment. Do not rely upon expired or altered kashrus certificates!

Please be advised that all varieties and sizes of Kedem Grape Juice may be considered Mevushal according to Rav Moshe Feinstein z"l except for the 1.5 liter glass bottles which are not Mevushal.

Romaine Lettuce must be thoroughly washed and checked for insects even when bearing certification. Please note that the small insects often found on lettuce leaves are often camouflaged by the leaf because they are green in color. Thorough checking of each leaf can be quite tedious. We therefore recommend the following alternative: The leaves may be separated and washed in a solution of vegetable wash such as Cleen Greens and then rinsed. This procedure has proven most effective in removing insects from green leafy vegetables. When washed in this manner checking each leaf is not required.

Exception: Alei Katif brand may be used without checking once it is rinsed.
